Tobs to Paint the Park Pink

WILSON, N.C., July 20, 2015 - Fans can help the Tobs fight breast cancer and a chance to walk away with a game used Tobs jersey!

This Thursday, July 23 the Wilson Tobs will host Paint the Park Pink Night for the third straight year. The night will be in support of the Wilson Pink Ladies, Healthcare Foundation of Wilson, and Goodness Grows North Carolina.

Not only will the lines and bases be painted pink, the Tobs will wear special edition pink jerseys that will be auctioned off.

Beginning at 10 a.m. fans can bid on jerseys online by emailing Tobs director of promotions and marketing Betsy Braswell at tobsbetsy@gmail.com. Online bidding will end at 4 p.m. and continue when gates open at 6 p.m. and throughout the game at a designated table in the BB&T Concourse.

"We had a very successful auction last year and we're excited to have it again this year," Braswell said. "Giving the fans the opportunity to walk away with a piece of the Tobs while being able to help in the fight against breast cancer at the same time is a win-win for everybody."

All auction proceeds will go towards Wilson Pink Ladies in an effort to help to find a cure for breast cancer

There will also be a balloon release in honor of breast cancer survivors and in memory of those lost to the disease prior to the Tobs contest with the Morehead City Marlins. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
