PETERSBURG, V.A. - The Wilson Tobs and Petersburg Generals were rained out on Friday night after 3 ½ innings at the Petersburg Sports Complex.

Petersburg (20-25, 6-11) was leading the game 3-2 when the game went into a rain delay. The Generals were able to take the lead in the third inning against John Eric Haynes on Taylor Buran's single to right field which scored Eric Toole.

Wilson (17-28, 8-9) took a short lived, 2-1 lead in the top of the third as Harry Slade singled home Zack Lee with what was then the tying run and after Nick Christopher loaded the bases with three consecutive walks, he then issued a free pass to Collins Cuthrell to give the Tobs a one-run margin before the Generals rallied to take the lead.

However, the game did not complete the required five innings to be called an official game and the contest will not be made up.

The Tobs return to action on Saturday night when they travel to Buck Hardee Field to take on the Wilmington Sharks, first pitch is slated for 7:05.

The Wilson Tobs are a proud member of the Coastal Plain League, the nation's hottest summer collegiate baseball league.
