TRENTON, NJ (September 26, 2005) - The Trenton Titans announced on Monday that they have agreed to terms with forward Peter Zingoni for the 2005-06 season.
Zingoni, 24, skated in 32 games last season with the Essen Mosquitoes of Germany's 2.Bundesliga where he notched 20 goals, 9 assists and 109 penalty minutes. An eighth round draft pick of the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2000 NHL entry Draft, the second-year professional was a four-year letterman at Providence University totaling 81 points (34g, 47a) and 134 PIM in 127 games. Following his senior season, the 6'1", 180 lb native of Bridgeport, CT, skated in five games with the Syracuse Crunch (AHL) tallying 2 goals and 2 assists.
Zingoni becomes the fourteenth player signed by the Titans for this season joining forwards Scott Bertoli, Aaron Gill, Joe Guenther, Chris Pittman, Russell Spence, Dustin Sproat and Mark Wires and defensemen Matt Maglione, Neil Petruic, Michael Schutte, Peter Tormey, Vince Williams and Aaron Wilson.
