Wild Night In Trenton
Titans' sticks wake up with some benchmark results
After sifting through the carnage of a 7-6 Shootout win over Elmira, it's time to see what the numbers tell us:
Stephen Schultz - his PPG goal last night means of his 6 goals, 4 are on the man advantage. He is also on a six-game point streak (2G, 5A).
Marcel Noebels - after scoring in the first 8 games to start the year, he was in a 9-game drought. Last night he grabbed his first professional hat trick AND 4-point game. It was the second hat trick of the season for the Titans (Andy Bohmback, 11/11 at Reading).
Shootout streak - The Titans were the only team not to win in a shootout last year (0-6) and were 0-1 this year (loss to Reading). The win was the first in a SO since March 25, 2011 (as the Devils), when they won 3-2 at home over Kalamazoo.
Half Dozen - The last time Trenton scored six goals at home was January 22, 2012, in a 6-1 win over Toledo. Before that, it was an 8-5, home-opening win over Florida October 22, 2011.
