Trenton Devils News Release

JOHNSTOWN, PA (November 15, 2006) - Mike Pandolfo's breakaway goal with six minutes left in regulation proved to be the difference in the Trenton Titan' s 4-3 win over the Johnstown Chiefs at the Cambria County War Memorial.

Skating 4-on-4 in the third, Pandolfo was able to strip Andre Deveaux at Trenton's blueline before going coast-to-coast and backhanding his sixth of the season in the top corner to put the Titans up 4-2.

Trenton would need the insurance marker as Ryan Gibbons slipped one past Gregg Naumenko with 1:20 remaining to cut the Titans' lead to one.

The Chiefs struck first in this contest on Randy Rowe's goal at 4:29 of the first period, but the Titans were able to tie it up at 9:16 when Tory Riddle slapped home the rebound from a Peter Tormey wrist shot.

Johnstown took their lead back just 1:31 later as Adam Henrich found a loose puck by the far post and banged it home to make it 2-1 in favor of the Chiefs.

Bryan Miller helped the Titans knot the score once again with the lone goal of the second period and his first tally of the year. Jim Henkel poked the puck back to point where Miller unleashed a slapshot that beat Morgan Cey at 5:18 of the frame.

In the final period of regulation Trenton gained their first lead of the game on Benoit Mondou's power play goal at 9:52. Cey was able to make the save on Riddle's shot from the far circle, but a crashing Mondou tapped in the rebound to make the score 3-2.

Naumenko picked up his second win in his second start for the Titans, stopping 35 of 28. Trenton finished 1-for-5 on the power play and 3-for-3 on the penalty kill.

The Titans have the week off before visiting the Wheeling Nailers on Wednesday, November 22 at 7:00pm. Tune in to hear all of the Titans action live on WBCB-1490AM or listen or watch live via B2 Networks at www.trentontitans.com.
