Busenburg Recalled to Hershey

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays and head coach Jason Fitzsimmons announced today that veteran defenseman Marc Busenburg has been recalled to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.

Busenburg, 28, has played in all twelve games with the Stingrays this season. The Worcester, MA native has three goals and three assists for six points including a game-winning goal against the Columbia Inferno in the Stingrays home opener.

"Marc has played well for us in the beginning of the season," said Fitzsimmons. "We hope he makes the best of the opportunity he has up in Hershey."

Watch the Rays at home all weekend long. It's Family Fun Friday at the Stingrays game as they take on the Charlotte Checkers at 7:05 p.m. For only $44 fans can get four tickets to the game, four hotdogs, four sodas and a program. Game time is 7:05 p.m.

Come back to the North Charleston Coliseum on the following night and be a part of the Dunkin' Donuts Million Dollar Chuck-a-Puck. The fan closest to the bullseye gets the chance to go down on the ice after the game and shoot a puck for million bucks. You must be 18 years of age or older to be eligible. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for season ticket holders and 6 p.m. for the general public. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m.
