Titans Fall, Split Weekend with Tomahawks

MIDDLETOWN, N.J. - The Johnstown Tomahawks took advantage of four scoring chances in the first period as they ultimately defeated the Titans 5-2.

Despite New Jersey outplaying and outshooting the Tomahawks by a 15-6 margin, in the first period, it only took a span of 34 seconds for the game to change completely in the other direction. Two goals by Kelly O'Brien and Andrew Romano respectively, set the tone for an already odd period for the Titans.

They got a goal on bouncing puck that Victor Ostling got past Andrew Lindgren.

However, the Tomahawks were unaffected and put two more goals on the board before heading into the intermission.

The game saw no more goals until Dakota Ford was credited with a goal that crossed the goal line after a scramble in the blue paint at 17:16 of the third period.

However, with little time on the clock and an empty net goal put the game out of reach.
