
Titans change up roster heading into playoffs

TRENTON, NJ - The Trenton Titans announced on Saturday that left wing Scott Bertoli has returned from the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Bertoli, 28, completed his most successful stint in the AHL picking up a goal and two assists in six games for Norfolk. The seven-year pro currently leads the Titans with 47 assists and 66 points and ranks third on the team with 19 goals.
A native of Milton, Ontario, Bertoli has spent all but eleven of his 453 professional games with the Trenton Titans and is the team's all-time leader in games played (442), goals (150), assists (296) and points (446).
In separate transactions forward Joe Zappala has been placed on the 7-day IR and defenseman Aaron Wilson has been transferred to the 30-day IR.
Zappala, 22, signed with the Titans on March 23 after completing his senior season at Yale University. The Medford, Massachusetts native has registered two assists and eleven penalty minutes in sevens games with Trenton
A four-year letterman at Yale (2002-06), Zappala compiled 83 points (39g, 44a) in 124 games. During his sophomore campaign in 2002-03, the 6'0", 205-pounder was tied for the team lead in points (30), while also leading the Bulldogs in goals (18) and the nation in game-winning goals (9).
Wilson, 23, has chipped in a goal, two assists and 65 penalty minutes over 54 games for the Titans. The second-year player out of Pickering, Ontario, split last year between the Fort Wayne Komets and Motor City Mechanics of the United Hockey League and the Jacksonville Barracudas of the Southern Professional Hockey League.
