Titans Bring in Goodwin

TRENTON, NJ (July 26, 2004) - The Trenton Titans announced today that they have agreed to terms with rookie right wing Jonathan Goodwin for the 2004-05 season. Per club policy, the terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Goodwin, 22, was a four-year letterman at Providence College where he recorded 22 goals, 30 assists and 129 penalty minutes over 123 games. Signed by Augusta after the completion of his senior year, the Taunton, Massachusetts-native managed a goal and 4 assists in 10 games with the Lynx.

"Jonathan comes to us from a quality hockey program," stated Mike Haviland, Titans' Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations. "He's a good two-way player, a hard worker and we're excited to have him."

Prior to his collegiate career, Goodwin helped Catholic Memorial High School to Massachusetts state titles in 1998, 1999 and 2000. He was named captain for the 1999-2000 season and also led the team in scoring that year with 44 points in 22 games.
