Palm Beach Cardinals News Release
The Palm Beach Cardinals relied on starting pitcher Tink Hence as well as their bullpen en route to a 1-0 win over the Lakeland Flying Tigers at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium on Wednesday night.
Allowing just five hits against the Detroit farm club, a Thomas Francisco RBI single in the third was the only run needed for the Cardinals to even the six-game series after Tuesday's loss.
Tink Hence saw his earned run average drop to 0.99 with the four-inning start. The No. 9 overall Cardinals prospect struck out eight batters, and the 19-year-old allowed just two baserunners in his no-decision.
