HOT CAPS: The TinCaps have won 3 in a row and 6 of their last 7 games. Earlier this season, Fort Wayne won 4 consecutive games from April 16-20 vs. South Bend and at Lansing. In fact, they won 7 of 8 through April 24.

DOUBLEHEADERS: This is officially Fort Wayne's 6th doubleheader of the season. The TinCaps split a set at Dayton on April 10, split vs. South Bend on April 14, swept a pair at Lansing on April 23, were swept vs. Quad Cities on May 28, and swept Lake County last Saturday. So that's a total of 2 sweeps, once swept, and 2 splits.

SUCCESS VS. LANSING: The TinCaps are 12-3 against the Lugnuts this season. Fort Wayne has scored 7+ runs in 9 of the 14 games, and averaged over 7 runs per game with a +52 run differential.

FUTURES GAME: Center fielder Robert Hassell III has been selected to play for the National League in MLB's Futures Game, as part of All-Star Saturday at Dodger Stadium. He's the 1st player in franchise history to earn an invitation to the showcase while representing Fort Wayne. The game is tonight at 7 p.m. on Peacock and SiriusXM's MLB Network Radio.

MAX FERGUSON: Entered the weekend leading Minor League Baseball in walks (71) and ranking 2nd in stolen bases (53)... As far as walks go, Austin Gauthier with the Dodgers' Single-A affiliate, Rancho Cucamonga, also has 71. Juan Soto of the Nats leads MLB with 76... Another Padres prospect, Esteury Ruiz, a 2018 TinCap, has 60 stolen bags between Double-A San Antonio and Triple-A El Paso. The current MLB leader is Miami's Jon Berti with 28.

COREY ROSIER: Leads the MWL in runs (61), while ranking 2nd in triples (7), 5th in stolen bases (26) and walks (51; 16%), and 10th in OBP (.374)... He's swung and missed at only 9% of pitches, the 5th lowest rate in the league... 4th in BB/K (0.85).

CAUGHT 'EM: TinCaps catchers lead the league in throwing out runners trying to steal (30 CS). Individually, Brandon Valenzuela leads with 20, while Anthony Vilar has nabbed 8 of 21, and Adam Kerner has caught 2.

PATIENT: The TinCaps lead the MWL in walks drawn (4.6 per game), while having struck out the 2nd fewest times (8.6 per game).

MISCELLANEOUS: The TinCaps are 28-13 when scoring first (68% win rate) and 7-36 when they don't (16%)... Fort Wayne is 10-10 in 1-run games, 5-10 in 2-run games, and 1-3 in extra-innings.

260 TO THE SHOW: Since Fort Wayne's franchise was established in 1993, there have been 207 alumni who've gone on to appear in the major leagues, including 50 this season... The latest member of the club is Esteury Ruiz, who played here as an infielder in 2018 at the age of 19. He made his Padres debut Tuesday, starting in center field... 2014 TinCap Trea Turner (Dodgers) has been elected to start the MLB All-Star Game at shortstop for the NL... 2016 TinCap Ty France (Mariners) finished 2nd in voting among AL first basemen... 2013-14 TinCaps starter Max Fried (Braves) and 2016-17 TinCaps reliever David Bednar (Pirates) also made the NL squad.
