About Last Game : It wasn't a grand slam. More like a grand error. Or two. And just like that, a tie game in the top of the sixth inning turned south on one play for the TinCaps in what would become a 6-2 loss to the Bowling Green Hot Rods at Parkview Field on Monday night.

A TinCaps Win Would : Gain ground on the Eastern Division Wild Card.

Scoreboard Watching : With seven games remaining in the regular season, Fort Wayne trails Dayton by 3.0 games for the wild card. The TinCaps are also 1.5 back of both Bowling Green and Great Lakes. The Dragons host the Loons tonight at 7:00 p.m.

Home Run Record Watch : Fernando Perez's home run last night was Fort Wayne's 95th of the season. The franchise record for home runs in a year is 97 - set in 2009, when the TinCaps won the Midwest League title. The team has seven games to get there or break the mark.

Perez's Power : On Monday night, Fernando Perez hit his 16th home run of the season. That's tied for the fifth most by an individual in franchise history dating back to 1993. Perez is the first to reach 16 longballs since Jaff Decker also had 16 in 2009. Jake Patterson holds the franchise record for home runs in a season with 20 in 1997. Perez leads the MWL in RBIs with 89 on the year.

Bullpen Props : Fort Wayne's bullpen ERA is down to 3.93 - as low as it has been since the opening series of the season.

Packed Parkview Field : The TinCaps have hosted 24 sell-out crowds this season with 4 home dates remaining. The only Fort Wayne season with more sellouts was 2010 (26). Parkview Field has averaged 5,825 fans per game - the third highest average in all of Class A. The team's total attendance of 384,474 is its most ever through 66 games.

BIG FUN : Tonight is "Race the Game" Night. In partnership with Fort4Fitness, the TinCaps have challenged fans to run/walk 70 laps around Parkview Field's concourse before the final out of the game. That's equidistant to F4F's "Triple Crown" of a 1/2 Marathon, 10K, and 4-Mile Run... Wednesday is Matt Wisler Bobblehead Night... Thursday is a celebration of the Fort Wayne Fire Department's 175th anniversary... Friday is Fan Appreciation Night.
