LAST NIGHT: The TinCaps fell to the Loons, 4-3. Fort Wayne scored a run in the sixth, seventh and eighth to nearly overcome an early 3-0 deficit. Lucas Dunnpicked up three hits and Agustín Ruiz had two.

WHAT'S AT STAKE: The first half of the season ends after Thursday. Entering tonight, the Loons are a half-game up on Dayton. The Dragons host the Lake County Captains in a doubleheader tonight. Great Lakes holds the head-to-head tiebreaker over Dayton, if they are tied.

RECORD DAY: Fort Wayne matched a franchise record Sunday with 22 hits. This is the 30th year of the franchise. The only other time Fort Wayne accrued 22 hits in a game was April 29, 1998, also at Lansing... Meanwhile, Sunday also marked a season-high for runs scored and the team's largest margin of victory since 2018.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Robert Gasser book-ended the series in Lansing with wins, combing for 12 scoreless innings. This performance earned him Midwest League Pitcher of the Week as he tallied 12 Ks and just four hits and three walks.

COREY ROSIER: Ranks 2nd in the MWL in runs (44) and walks (38; 16%), 5th in stolen bases (19)...4th in BB/K (0.86).

ROBERT HASSELL: Leads the MWL in batting average (.309), while ranking 3rd in hits (63), 6th in stolen bases (18), 7th in RBIs (38) and OPS (.869), 8th in SLG (.495), and 9th in OBP (.374)... 8th in wRC+ (142)... 6th lowest swinging strike % (8.8%)... Started each of the team's first 40 games... After not playing 2 games, from May 28 to June 19, went on a 10-game hitting streak (with a 2-week absence along the way due to Covid). Over those 10 games, had 7 doubles, 1 triple, 2 homers, and 11 RBIs.

LUCAS DUNN: Since the beginning of the Lansing series, over his last 7 games, has slashed .344 / .382 / .531 (.913 OPS) with 4 XBH and a team-high 7 RBIs. His batting average leads the team over that stretch, minimum 20 ABs.

BRANDON VALENZUELA: Since May 24, has slashed .310 / .388 / .535 (.923 OPS) with a team-high 4 HR and 14 RBIs in 18 games. His batting average is seventh most in the Midwest League over that stretch.
