Green Bay, Wis.- Green Bay's 12 runs, nine hits, and six defensive errors from the Lakeshore Chinooks allowed the Bullfrogs to even their record at 2-2 and capture their first road victory of the season, 12-7.

The Bullfrogs now know why the "Lakeshore" title was given to the Mequon based team. It was a cold blustery game on the western shores of Lake Michigan in which many players were adorned in sweatshirts and long-sleeves.

In the first inning, Paul Jacobson's (South Dakota State) opposite field single got the party started as the Bullfrogs new infielder Jack Strunc (Washington State) reached on an error putting runings on first and second for Billy Mullins who singled in a run. With a groundout RBI from Franco Guardascione (Jacksonville) and a two-RBI base hit from Ryan Donovan (Hofstra), Green Bay went up four runs after one inning.

In the third inning, after the Chinooks scored their first run in the second, scored four more runs as part of another monster offensive inning. Lakeshore also helped the Bullfrogs with three errors. Matt De La Rosa (Lenoir Rhyne) scored a run after a lead-off walk, and Tyler Kozlowski (UW-Oshkosh) posted his second career Northwoods League hit with a double to left. Earl Vorpagel (Marian University) also scored after a throw was mishandled at first base. Mid-way through the third inning it was an 8-1 Bullfrogs lead.

Meanwhile Ryan Radue (UConn) was tossing a great game. With solid command of his smooth fastball, Radue fought through the lake effect wind chill to a 5IP/2ER/4K performance. Radue also threw only 78 pitches and subdued the Chinooks offense, that came in batting over .300, to just three hits.

The Chinooks rallied in the seventh frame with four runs, slashing the Bullfrogs advantage to 9-6. But a strong 1-2-3 eight inning from Pulaski, WI native Luke Van Lanen (Valparaiso) led the way for three runs of insurance in the ninth including an RBI base hit, the team high third of the night, off the bat of Billy Mullins (West Valley C.C.).

Lakeshore posted a lone run in the ninth but not enough to best the Bullfrogs in arguably their best played game of 2015. The hitting was spread throughout, the starter Radue was solid, and the Bullfrogs play at Lakeshore again, 5:05PM Sunday, May 31st in an attempt to go over .500 for the first time this season.

Group tickets, season tickets and 7-game packages are on sale now. The Bullfrogs off-season hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. For more information please visit www.greenbaybullfrogs.com.
