Kalamazoo Growlers News Release
KALAMAZOO, MI - Due to adverse weather conditions, tonight's Kalamazoo Growlers game against the Rochester Honkers at Homer Stryker Field has been postponed. The game will be made up tomorrow as part of a single admission doubleheader. The Growlers and Honkers will play two seven-inning games, the first of which will start at 3:00 p.m., followed by the second game 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first. Tickets for tonight's game may be redeemed for a ticket to any future home game this season.
The Northwoods League is the proven leader in the development of elite college baseball players. The 21-year old summer collegiate league is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, 120 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (WAS) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Lucas Duda (NYM) and Ben Zobrist (OAK).
