SAN JOSE, Calif. - The Portland Timbers extended their unbeaten streak to three games (1-0-2) with a 0-0 draw against San Jose Earthquakes at PayPal Park on Saturday night. The draw also marked the Timbers' third consecutive clean sheet. Facing a quick turnaround, the Timbers will host Chicago Fire FC on Wednesday, June 21 at Providence Park.

The Timbers are unbeaten in their last three league matches, all against Western Conference opponents, with a 1-0 win over FC Dallas (6/11) and draws against Seattle Sounders FC (6/3) and San Jose Earthquakes (6/17). It marks the second time Portland has gone unbeaten in three straight games in the 2023 season, with the last stretch being from April 29 to May 17 (2-0-2). Notably in the last three matches, Cristhian Paredes has led the league in duels won (11) and tackles won (33) during those three 90-min performances.
