
Tim Purpura will guest on Legends Inside Scoop

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Lexington Legends have confirmed that Houston Astros General Manager, Tim Purpura, will be the guest on the "Legends Inside Scoop" on November 24th.
Purpura will join broadcaster Larry Glover Wednesday night at 7:15 on the Legends flagship station, Sports Radio 1300, WLXG. Purpura will discuss the Lexington Legends, who are a single-A affiliate of the Houston Astros. Purpura will also talk about his new post and the challenges for Houston during the off season.
Purpura succeeds former GM, Gerry Hunsicker, who stepped down from the position on November 1st.
Purpura was the Assistant General Manager and the Director of Player Development prior to being promoted.

Tommy Whiteman
Former Legends Shortstop, Tommy Whiteman, is the subject of a feature article on the Houston Astros official website, www.astros.com. Whiteman wrapped up a successful stint in the Arizona Fall League where he hit .333 in 27 games.
Whiteman batted .335 for Double-A, Round Rock this past season and hit .276 after being promoted to Triple-A, New Orleans.
