The Delmarva Shorebirds unveiled the team's 10th Anniversary logo. Your Shorebirds will celebrate this anniversary all season long with special giveaways and promotions. The highlight of the celebration will be held throughout the âBirds home opener weekend kicking off Friday, April 15 at 6:35pm. The third home game of the new season, Sunday, April 17 will cap off the new look when the first 1,000 fans will receive the limited edition collector's item Shorebirds 10th Anniversary Logo Ball. The first weekend of 2005 baseball on Delmarva promises to be spectacular with Friday and Saturday's games followed by firework extravaganzas!
"We are very excited to celebrate our 10th Anniversary with all of our fans," General Manager Stephen C. Yaros stated. "We know how much the past decade of Shorebirds Baseball and the players have meant to this community. As a staff, we decided to enhance our logo. This enhanced look will carry a more bold presence and we feel it displays our pride in our organization celebrating it's 10th year!"
The anniversary logo will be featured as a commemorative patch that will be embroidered on the left sleeve of the team's official game jerseys that the players will wear for the entire season. The anniversary logo will also be painted onto the grass behind home plate, stamping the team's home turf. It will be displayed on all promotional materials distributed during the 2005 season. As well as being featured on merchandise that will be available inside the "Flock Shop!" the team's gift shop. Creative Solutions a division of Comcast-Spectacor designed the logo.
