The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today Eric Tillman has resigned as the team's General Manager/Vice President of Football Operations.

"We would like to thank Eric for his contribution to this team over the last three and a half years," stated Riders President/CEO Jim Hopson. "He played an instrumental role turning the Riders into one of the top teams in the CFL."

"With that said, we agreed with Eric's assessment that it would be very difficult for him to remain in his current role with the club and accepted his resignation."

"The search for a new General Manager/Vice President of Football Operations will begin immediately"

Eric Tillman was hired as the 14th Roughrider General Manager in modern history on August 21st, 2006. During Tillman's tenure the Riders hosted a playoff game in three straight seasons and reached two Grey Cups, winning the championship in 2007.
