BRIDGEPORT, CT - Winger Jeff Szwez scored two goals, but it wasn't enough for the Philadelphia Phantoms on Sunday as they fell 4-2 to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at the Arena at Harbor Yard. Blake Comeau had a goal and two assists, and NHL veteran and former Flyer Mike Sillinger energized the Sound Tigers with three assists in his first game of a rehab assignment from the New York Islanders.

Bridgeport jumped on top early with a goal just 2:06 into the contest. Sillinger fired a shot from the left that Munroe stopped. But the rebound came right to Joe Joensuu on the right side, and he fired it into an open net for the 1-0 lead.

The Sound Tigers doubled the advantage about three minutes later when Blake Comeau wound up and fired a slapshot from the center point that got through traffic and beat Munroe over his glove to the top right corner. The tally came at 5:43 and made it 2-0.

Szwez got one of the goals back with his first of the night and second of the season at 8:27. He came down the left side to the top of the circle and fired a blistering slapshot that beat Yann Danis top shelf over the glove to the right side. That made it a 2-1 game at the first intermission.

With 8:50 gone in the second period, the Phantoms took advantage of a miscue to tie the game at 2-2. Danis went behind his net to play a puck towards the right-wing corner, but David Laliberte swooped in and threw the puck out in front. Jared Ross fired towards a wide-open net, only to see Danis dive back just in time to block it. But that rebound came to Szwez, who fired it home to equal the scoring.

However, just nine seconds later, Bridgeport jumped back in front. The play came right into the Phantoms zone off the center-ice draw and the puck was mostly tied up in skates as a mob of players moved down the slot. The puck slid free to Dustin Kohn, who fired it low along the ice past a screened Munroe. The eventual game-winner made it 3-2 at the second intermission.

Bridgeport added an insurance goal in the third period. Comeau was in the left corner and sent a puck behind the net for Sillinger, who fired it out in front for Ben Walter. Walter sent it past Munroe at 7:31, closing the scoring out at 4-2.

The Phantoms next take the ice on Wednesday night on the road against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. They return home on Friday night when they host the Springfield Falcons at the Wachovia Center in the second half of a Black Friday doubleheader with the Flyers.
