A Tyler Collins solo homer in the fourth, his sixth of the season, cut the deficit to one. Eugenio Suarez started the sixth inning with a double and was driven in two batters later on a Dean Green RBI base hit, tying the game at three.

In the seventh, the IronBirds got a one-out base runner when Knight reached on a Azcona errors, Velleggia drew a walk and Wynston Sawyer broke the tie with an RBI single. Aberdeen would add another run in the inning, as well as a run in both the eighth and ninth to go on for the win.
