Tigers Alumni Experience Olympic Success

Medicine Hat, AB - While Team Canada had a record showing at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games so did Medicine Hat Tigers Alumni.

Four of five Tigers Alumni won a medal with their country in ice hockey this year, collectively winning 2 silver medal and 2 bronze medals.

Yannic Seindeberg won the silver medal in men's ice hockey with Team Germany after falling 4-3 to the Olympic Athletes from Russia. Seindeberg was apart of the 2003/04 Tigers squad who won the Ed Chynoweth Cup.

Willie Desjardins and Linden Vey were once again reunited and together they won the bronze medal after defeating Tomas Kundratek and the Czech Republic 6-4. Kundratek played for the Tigers with Vey under Desjardins in 2008/09 and 2009/10.

Perry Pearn who coached the Tigers for one season in 1994-95 was an assistant coach with Team Canada Women's and won the silver medal after being defeated in a shootout by Team USA.
