
Overtime Unkind to Hitmen

Edmonton, AB - Colton Kehler scored a power play goal 18 seconds into overtime to push the Edmonton Oil Kings past the Calgary Hitmen 4-3 on Friday night at Rogers Place.
The Oil Kings forced the extra session when Tomas Soustal tipped home the tying goal with 34.8 seconds remaining in regulation. Kobe Mohr on a power play and Trey Fix-Wolansky shorthanded also scored for Edmonton.
Zach Huber, Jake Kryski and Jakob Stukel provided the Calgary scoring building a 3-0 second period lead. For Huber, it was his first career goal in the Western Hockey League.
The home team has now won all four games in the season series.
Both sides finished the night with 29 shots on goal.
Calgary returns home for back-to-back games this weekend. The Hitmen host Regina on Saturday, Mar. 3 in a 7:00 p.m. start at the Scotiabank Saddledome and Red Deer on Sunday, Mar. 4 in a 4:00 p.m. puck drop. The visit from the Rebels is on Multicultural Night presented by Cornerstone with representation from 18 different countries.
It's also Sunday Funday presented by Pocky. There will be face painters, concourse activities, lots of giveaways and a post-game family skate that is FREE with a game ticket. Sunday Funday contests also feature a specially priced $8.99 ticket (plus applicable fees) for kids 12 and under. Calgary will then depart on a three-game East Division road trip which begins on Wednesday, Mar. 7 in Swift Current.
