Hamilton Tiger-Cats News Release

Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the club has come to terms with safety Sandy Beveridge, cornerback Renard Cox and defensive back Airabin Justin.

Beveridge and Cox inked two year (plus an option) contracts, while Justin agreed to a one-year (plus an option) deal.

"These three guys are going to provide us with a lot of depth in our coverage," said Ticats head coach Greg Marshall. "We were pleased with the effort these players gave last season, and we're excited about what they can bring to the field now that they have more experience under their belts."

Beveridge, a native of Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, recorded 22 tackles and recovered two fumbles for 55 total return yards and one touchdown in 13 games last season. In 2003, his rookie season, Beveridge played in all 18 games, recording 39 tackles and three interceptions.

Cox, a 6'0", 188-pound cornerback played in 15 games last year, his first season in the CFL. The Richmond, Virginia native recorded 63 defensive tackles, two special teams tackles, one forced fumble and one interception in 2004.

Justin, signed by the Ticats as a free agent on September 16th, played in five games during the regular season, finishing with 12 defensive tackles, two interceptions, and two forced fumbles. Played in the East Division Semi-Final vs Toronto, made three defensive tackles and one interception in the Tiger-Cats' season-ending 24-6 loss.
