Ottawa Renegades News Release
OTTAWA â The Ottawa Renegades today confirmed media reports that Brad Watters, President of the Ottawa Renegades Football Club, will be leaving his current post effective, March 31, 2005. Mr. Watters will assume a significant role in representing the franchise with its corporate partners.
In making the announcement, Renegades' Governor Randy Gillies, speaking on behalf of the ownership group, thanked Brad for his tremendous contribution to the Club over its first three years in Ottawa.
"Brad's vision, enthusiasm and tireless drive have been extremely important to our Club in these first years. Brad is very much a marketing entrepreneur and his shift to his new venture is a logical next step following his achievements here. He has represented the team very well in the community and with our corporate partners. We are delighted that he has agreed to continue with us in a new and important role," said Gillies.
Mr. Gillies also re-confirmed that the Renegades' Chief Executive Officer, John Lisowski, continues to be fully responsible for the day-to-day business operations of the team.
"John is carefully stewarding our club operations and is preparing to provide Ottawa football fans with an exceptional game experience in 2005. Together with General Manager and Head Coach Joe Paopao, we are looking forward to a great season of Canadian football in the nation's capital."
