Tiger-Cats Sign Four Receivers & Announce Other Roster Moves

Hamilton Tiger-Cats News Release
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Thursday that the football club has signed four international free agent wide receivers, including Andrew Turzilli, Chris Hubert, Bryce Wilkerson and Jarvis Baxter.
Turzilli, 26, played three regular season games with the National Football League's Tennessee Titans in 2015, registering two receptions for 25 yards. The 6-4, 195-pound native of Butler, New Jersey, also spent time with the NFL's New York Giants (2017), Detroit Lions (2016) and San Francisco 49ers (2015). Prior to turning pro, Turzilli split his collegiate career between the University of Kansas (2011-2013) and Rutgers University (2014). He registered 27 receptions for 491 yards and two touchdowns in 24 games with the Jayhawks, and had 10 receptions for 347 yards and four touchdowns in 11 games with the Scarlet Knights.
Hubert, 25, spent time with the NFL's Arizona Cardinals in 2016 and 2017. The 5-9, 170-pound native of Apex, North Carolina, appeared in 32 games over four seasons at Fayetteville State University (2012-15), registering 129 receptions for 1,784 yards and 19 touchdowns with the Broncos.
Wilkerson, 22, played at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor from 2014 to 2017. The 5-8, 165-pound wide receiver spent his first two seasons with the Crusaders as a cornerback before converting to wide receiver for his junior and senior years. In 30 games over two seasons as a receiver, the Tyler, Texas native caught 118 passes for 1,425 yards and seven touchdowns. Wilkerson was also a kick returner during all four of his college seasons and broke the American Southwest Conference record with 11 career combined kick returns for touchdowns.
Baxter, 24, played 23 games over two seasons at the University of Oklahoma (2015-16), registering 24 receptions for 275 yards and one touchdown. Prior to joining the Sooners, the 5-11, 173-pound native of Garland, Texas, played junior college football at Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, Texas.
The Tiger-Cats also announced a series of transactions on Thursday.
