Tiger-Cats Issue Statement on the Passing of Former Ticat and Community Leader David Lane
May 19, 2016 - Canadian Football League (CFL)
Hamilton Tiger-Cats News Release
We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of David Lane, a true friend of the Tiger-Cats organization and even more so of the many Hamiltonians who have been touched by his tireless dedication to improve their quality of life. Dave's commitment to meeting the needs of those who are underserved or marginalized has been unsurpassed. His passion for making Hamilton an even greater place for everyone was evident in how he reached out to people of all ages, in all segments of the community, in an effort to create opportunities or bring people together to address challenges and meet needs.
Dave will be greatly missed by all of us who have been privileged to know him. His legacy will be felt by countless more who never met him, but will benefit from his service. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dave's family and with those with which he served at the John Howard Society of Hamilton, Burlington.
