Tiger-Cats Add Four to the Roster

HAMILTON - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have added four player to the roster today: import kicker/punter Delbert Alvarado, import defensive back Raymond Brown, non-import fullback John Delahunt and import defensive end Matt Singletary.

Alvarado spent time with the NFL's Dallas Cowboys, the Arena Football League's Dallas Vigilantes and UFL's Virginia Destroyers after finishing his collegiate career at South Florida. In 2006, he kicked the longest field goal in Big East history with a 56-yard attempt against Syracuse.

Brown has previously attended training camp with the Toronto Argonauts in 2012 and Calgary Stampeders in 2010 and 2011. He spent four seasons at Kansas before turning pro.

Delahunt caught 29 passes for 341 yards and two touchdowns during his NCAA career at Connecticut.

Singletary participated in rookie camp with the Minnesota Vikings last season before joining the Saskatchewan Roughriders practice roster in September. He split his collegiate career between Cal Poly and Baylor, making 11 defensive tackles during his senior season.

QUEEN'S QUARTEBACK TO SUIT UP

Queen's quarterback Billy McPhee will also practice with the team as an underclass quarterback. The Burlington native will enter his fourth season with the Gaels in 2013 after throwing for 2,419 yards and 12 touchdowns last year.
