BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - It will be a busy time at U.S. Cellular Coliseum on Saturday when the Bloomington Extreme meets the Rock River Raptors at 7:05 p.m. in a key United Indoor Football League game, which could impact the postseason playoff picture.

Tickets, ranging in price from $10 to $30, remain for the Eastern Conference game. They can be purchased at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum box office, by calling 309-434-2679; 866-891-9992 or going to the team web site at www.bloomingtonextreme.com or www.uscellularcoliseum.com.

The game also features a halftime performance by the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. The cheerleaders also will sign autographs for those fans attending the game in the Jack Daniels Club Lounge at U.S. Cellular Coliseum beginning at 6 p.m.

It also will be a night to honor Special Olympics Illinois and Extreme players will wear specially designed jerseys during the game, which will be auctioned off during and after the contest. A portion of the proceeds from the auction and ticket sales will be donated to Special Olympics Illinois.

On the football field, the Extreme (5-5) will be looking to break a two-game losing streak and get back over the .500 mark. Meanwhile, Rock River (7-4) will be out to gain sole possession of first place in the Eastern Conference. The Raptors enter the game tied for first with RiverCity, which has a bye this week.

The Extreme and Raptors have split a pair of games this season with each team winning in the other team's building. The game also could figure heavily in the postseason playoff picture.

The Raptors, which have won five of their last six games, are fighting to hold onto the No. 1 seed for the playoffs, which begin the weekend of July 20. The Extreme is currently fourth in the Eastern Conference standings.

The Extreme has a two-game advantage in the loss column over Evansville with five regular season games remaining. The top four teams in the Eastern and Western divisions advance to the playoffs. The Extreme and Evansville meet in the last week of the regular season in Evansville.
