Rock River Raptors News Release

Rockford, IL - The Rock River Raptors of United Indoor Football (UIF) announce that two of their players, WR Lawrence Bady and DE Ricky Miller, have been invited to a tryout with the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL).

Bady, who played collegiately at Boise State University, has risen to become one of the top receivers in the UIF and one of QB Ben Sankey's favorite targets. He leads the team in receiving yards with 886 on the season and also leads the league in total receptions with 77. Bady has also caught nine touchdown passes this season.

Miller only played in one game with the Raptors, but he was able to make a big impact during that game. He recorded two sacks for a loss of 15 yards in an overtime loss against the Bloomington Extreme on May 25th. Miller played football for both Fresno State University and University of Arkansas at Monticello.

This year, the Raptors have already been successful in sending one of their players to the next level. Defensive lineman Nick Zeck had a successful tryout with the Georgia Force of the AFL and signed with the team in May.

This weekend, the Raptors will be traveling down I-39 to take on the Bloomington Extreme. The game can be heard on WTJK Radio 1380 AM and WEKZ Radio 93.7 FM or online at http://www.espn1380.com. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CDT Saturday. Fans can also sign up to take to the Raptors' Fan Bus to the game by calling the Raptors' front office at (815) 965-7000.

Single-game tickets for the Raptors are on sale now at the MetroCentre box office, 300 Elm Street, by phone at (815) 968-5222 or at http://www.centreevents.com.
