Raptors Look to Extend Winning Streak

ROCKFORD - The Rock River Raptors and Roxy Carmichael's announced today a Mother's Day special for the May 9 game.

The Raptors and Roxy Carmichael's will be celebrating Mother's Day this Saturday when all mother's accompanied by a paid child will be admitted free. In addition, the first 500 adults to stop by the Roxy Carmichael booth will receive their voucher for 20% off any one item in the store, and register to win a Gift Basket featuring Roxy's favorite items valued at over $250.

The Raptors, who have put a four game winning streak together to even their record at 4-4 and back into the CIFL playoff picture, will look to carry the momentum of that winning streak with them this Saturday, May 9 as the undefeated Chicago Slaughter come to town.

The Raptors also announced today the special appearance of Jason Dolley at the Raptors game Saturday, May 16 has been cancelled.

Dolley, who plays "Newt" on the hit TV program Corey in the House, was scheduled to appear at the Metro Centre on May 16 as part of the Rock River Raptors final regular season home game for the 2009 season. "We did everything we could to finalize the appearance of Jason Dolley", said Raptors GM Dave DeSanti. "In the end, we just couldn't put a compensation package together that would work for both parties".
