Tickets for the Somos Unidos Cup - a massive international Academy soccer tournament set for this August in Albuquerque - are on sale now! The academies of Monterrey Rayados, Atlanta United, Colorado Rapids and New Mexico United will meet in the Duke City, each hoping to take home the first trophy in tournament history. The tournament is set for August 11th - 14th at the First Financial Training Facility at Mesa del Sol. This tournament is the first-of-its-kind tournament for New Mexico United, and is made possible by the incredible support of presenting partner of the Somos Unidos Cup, Clark's Pet Emporium, and by the generous support of Garcia Automotive.
Fans can purchase day passes or one pass for the entire tournament HERE! Group rates for groups of ten or more are also available. Fans are encouraged to bring chairs to the matches.
"The Somos Unidos Cup is bringing the world to New Mexico," said New Mexico United Head Coach Zach Prince. "It's not just bringing different clubs from all over the world. We want to bring the top clubs from all over the world, and this is our first step."
"We are very excited for the Somos Unidos Cup," said Atlanta United Academy Director Matt Lawrey. "We are always looking for top competitions for our teams, and New Mexico United have put together a great event with some very competitive games. It also gives our players and staff a chance to visit a beautiful area of the country and learn more about different cultures and ways of living. We are looking forward to a great event on the field, and off."
"The Colorado Rapids Academy players and staff are excited to travel to the beautiful state of New Mexico for the Somos Unidos Cup," said Colorado Rapids Academy Technical Director Chris Cartlidge. "The opportunity to play International, MLS and USL Academy competition in the pre-season period will be incredibly valuable as we look to prepare our players and team for the 2022/2023 Campaign."
