Hamilton, Ontario - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today the signing of import defensive end Greg Taplin.
"Greg's a player who comes out and competes. We're looking forward to seeing what he can do in training camp," said general manager Rob Katz.
Taplin, a 6-4, 267-pound native of Hollywood, Florida, played seven games for the Tiger-Cats last season recording 15 tackles and two sacks. Prior to joining the Ticats, Taplin was selected by the Berlin Thunder in the 2005 NFL Europe League Free Agent Draft. He spent four years at Michigan State University (2001-04) where he recorded 129 tackles and 13 sacks in 45 games.
