Ticats Deal Cheron To Ottawa

Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has traded Non-Import guard Pascal Cheron to the Ottawa Renegades in exchange for Ottawa's second round draft choice in the 2005 Canadian Draft and a conditional draft choice in the 2006 Canadian Draft.

"We just have a lot of depth on our offensive line," said Ticats general manager Ron Lancaster. "Pascal has been a great player on and off the field during his time here. We wish him all the best."

Cheron played a total of 79 games during his five year stint in Hamilton. The Ste. Foy, Quebec native was selected by the Ticats in the sixth round (45th overall) of the 1999 Canadian College Draft.

The 2005 CFL Canadian College Draft will be held on Thursday, April 28.
