Thunderstorm postpones Rox road opener until Friday
June 1, 2006 - Canadian American League (Can-Am)
Brockton Rox News Release
AUGUSTA, NJ -The Brockton Rox will wait an additional day to play their first road game of the season, as tonight's scheduled game with the Sussex Skyhawks was postponed due to rain and electrical problems at Skylands Park in New Jersey. Rain soaked the field and lightning caused a light tower outage, leading to the game's one-day postponement. The Rox and Skyhawks will play a doubleheader tomorrow at Skylands Park starting at 5:05 PM. LHP Rolando Viera is scheduled to start for Brockton in the first game with RHP Robert Averette scheduled to start the second game. Both games are scheduled to last seven innings.
The doubleheader and all Brockton Rox broadcasts can be heard on WBET 1460 AM in Brockton and www.brocktonrox.com. Tomorrow's Brockton Rox Pregame Show begins at 4:45 PM.
