In a game where the Thunderbolts couldn't get even a single bounce to go their way, the Thunderbolts would pepper the Quad City net with 41 shots on goaltender Eric Levine, and an additional 3 on the iron posts of the net that Levine was guarding. Despite all that, the Thunderbolts couldn't beat Levine, and Quad City would win 4-0.

The Storm would get goals from Tommy Tsicos at 1:21 of the first period, and Dalton Mills from Phil Bronner and Cody Walsh with 34 seconds left in the period. Late in the second period, Vladimir Nikiforov would extend that lead to 3-0 with only 17 seconds left in the period, again from Bronner. Finally Quad City rounded out the scoring with a goal from Hunter Stewart 1:57 into the third period, from Taylor McCloy. All four goals were scored on the power play.

Ed Minney would stand tall with 20 saves in net. The Thunderbolts return to the ice tomorrow night for a rematch against the Storm, once again at 7:15pm CT. The first 500 kids 12 and under will receive a free replica jersey courtesy of Old National Bank. Fans also will have the opportunity to toss teddy bears onto the ice after the Bolts first goal of the game, with all teddy bears going to local charities.
