The Thunderbirds started their road schedule with a perfect mark after taking both games in regulation over the Elmira Enforcers 2-1 and 2-0 in First Arena Friday and Saturday night.

Friday's game was played in front of a sold-out First Arena that broke the FHL's single game attendance mark with an announced 4,310 fans in the building. The crowd got to celebrate first as Stepan Timofeyev scored his first goal as an Enforcer in the early stages of the second period on the power play. The power play goal snapped a streak of 21 straight penalties killed by Carolina special teams. The Thunderbrids would get a power play tally of their own after Stan Vlasov scored his 2nd of the year. Peter Cicmanec scored his first as a Thunderbirds late in the third for the game winning goal.

On Saturday, Henry Dill recorded his 2nd shutout of the season with a 20 save effort and the Thunderbirds won 2-0. Josh Pietrantonio and Everett Thompson scored in the win and for Pietrantonio he tallied his team leading 5th goal.

Carolina now looks ahead to Mentor for three straight against the Ice Breakers. Wednesday is in Mentor with Thursday and Saturday's games being played in Winston-Salem.

Tonight the Labatt Blue Coach's Show will be on WTOB (980AM/96.3FM) from 6-7 P.M. and will feature Scott Brand during today's show. Replays of all Labatt Blue Coach's Shows can be found on our YouTube page (Carolina Thunderbirds TV).

Also tonight at 7:30 P.M., WSTV will be airing a tape delay of Friday night's win over Elmira Friday night at the same time the 2-0 win from Saturday night will be on WSTV. This will be a regular occurrence for all games home and away that they be tape delayed broadcast on on WSTV.
