
Thunderbirds Look to Sweep Springfield

Rio Rancho, NM - The Thunderbirds won their sixth straight home game last night by beating the Springfield Armor 111-106. Jamine Peterson and Dar Tucker each scored 28 points off the bench to lead the Thunderbirds to the win. Tonight they will look for the two-game sweep of the Armor at 7:30 p.m. at the Santa Ana Star Center.
The T-Birds are now a league best 7-1 at home and have not lost in New Mexico since Nov. 27.
The Springfield Armor, led by head coach and former NBA Dunk Champion Dee Brown, will be trying to end their five-game losing streak. Last night, Scottie Reynolds, who was a first team All American at Villanova in 2010, led the Armor in scoring with 22 points.
