RIGHT WHERE HE LEFT OFF- Matt Summers led the Thunder last season with 61 points and picked up right where he left off this past weekend. Summers recorded a pair of multi-point games and leads the team with six points (2g, 4a). On Friday, he scored a third-period goal that got Wichita within one. After the Oilers regained a two-goal lead, he assisted on RG Flath's goal that cut the Tulsa advantage to 4-3. On Saturday, he had a goal and three assists.

SUPER SWEDE- Gregor Hanson joined the Thunder towards the end of training camp and has been a nice addition to the line-up. He opened the season with an assist on Friday and then exploded with four points on Saturday night, scoring twice and assisting on two others. On the season, Hanson has five points (2g, 3a).

HIGH FIVE- Wichita scored five goals in the second period and routed the Oilers Saturday night, 8-2. The Thunder scored eight unanswered before the Oilers got on the board in the third period. Five different players recorded goals during the second-period onslaught.

MAN ADVANTAGE- Through just two games, the Thunder power play looked sharp. Wichita went 3-for-8, which is good for 37.5%. Last year, Wichita was ranked 10th in the league, operating at a clip of 15.7%. The Thunder penalty kill allowed one goal, going 7-for-8 and operating at 85.7%.

THUNDERBOLTS... Summers is tied for first in scoring with six points and third in shooting percentage (.667)...Flath is fourth in shooting percentage (.600) and second in plus/minus (+4)...Torrie Jung is second in goals against average (2.00) and second in save percentage (.923)...Wichita is tied for first in goals scored (11)...Wichita is first in goals scored in the second period (6)

UPCOMING WEEK- The Thunder heads on the road for the next three, beginning Friday night in Bloomington, IL. The Thunder will play a pair of games against the Blaze, which will be the first meeting between the two franchises. Wichita finishes out their road trip on Sunday afternoon at Quad City. The Thunder returns home on Friday, November 2nd against the Mavericks at 7:05 p.m. Come meet political candidates and help us Rock the Vote as the election nears.
