
Thunder to Help Benefit Fallen Hero

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Thunder has partnered with the Brian S. Etheridge Memorial Fund for their game on Friday, October 23rd versus the Tulsa Oilers.
Sedgwick County Sheriff's Deputy Brian Etheridge was killed in the line of duty on September 28, 2009. A graduate of Wichita State University, Etheridge had been working for the Sheriff's department for 18 months.
All members of the emergency services industry who wish to attend the game may purchase tickets at a discount with $5.00 from each ticket going towards the memorial fund which will benefit Deputy Etheridge's wife and daughter. Volunteer Sheriffs will also hold a "pass the hat" during the game to collect donations for the fund. Prior to the game, the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Department will present the colors and sing the National Anthem.
