Portland, ME - The Trenton Thunder (2-4) could not overcome a five-run bottom of the fourth inning as the Portland Sea Dogs (3-3) won 7-0 Tuesday night in front of 3,225 fans at Hadlock Field. The Sea Dogs smacked five doubles in the win, and Sea Dog starter Alex Wilson (2-0, 2.45) hurled six shutout innings.

The game was scoreless entering the Portland half of the fourth inning, but the Sea Dogs would not allow Trenton starter Steve Garrison (0-1, 6.14), who had pitched effectively to that point, finish the frame. Portland would bring nine hitters to the plate in the inning, scoring five runs on three doubles and two singles.

Thunder third baseman Bradley Suttle was the only Trenton hitter to record a hit Tuesday night, as the Texas-native had two singles next to his name in the box score.

LHP Shaeffer Hall (0-0, 7.20), making his second start of the season, will take the mound for Trenton on Wednesday in the finale of the three-game set from Portland, Maine. The Thunder offense will face RHP Brock Huntzinger (0-1, 14.73), who will deliver the first pitch at 6:00 PM.

Tune-in to the game on 91.3 WTSR-FM and on trentonthunder.com. The SBLI Pre-Game Show with Jay Burnham and Hank Fuerst begins at 5:45 PM on the Trenton Thunder Radio Network.

The Thunder return home on Thursday for the Waterfront Park home opener at 7:05 PM. Limited tickets are available by contacting the Thunder box office at 609-394-3300.
