
Thunder Release Opening Day Roster

Trenton Thunder News Release
(Trenton, NJ)- The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, have released its 24-man active roster to start the 2009 season. INF Carlos Mendoza will start the 2009 season on the disabled list. RHP Ivan Nova, who was on the preliminary roster announced on Monday, has remained in Tampa and will join the Thunder soon.
Trenton opens the 2009 season on Wednesday night vs. Binghamton (Double-A affiliate of the New York Mets). Game time is at 7:05 p.m. RHP Eric Hacker (0-0, 0.00) will start for Trenton against Binghamton LHP Mike Antonini (0-0, 0.00).
All children with a ticket, ages 12 and under, will receive a voucher upon entering the ballpark good for a free hot dog, bag of potato chips and a 12 oz. fountain soda at all 71 Thunder home games this season.
