
Thunder Offense Stalls in Loss to Allen

Wichita, KS - Wichita closed out opening weekend on Saturday night, falling to Allen by the final score of 4-0 at INTRUST Bank Arena.
The Thunder had four power plays in the first period and seven total for the game, but failed to get anything past C.J. Motte.
Allen opened up the scoring 5:43 into the contest as Spencer Asuchak recorded his first of the season to make it 1-0.
Braylon Shmyr made it 2-0 at 14:57 of the second when Dante Salituro created a turnover near the net and he potted his first of the year.
The Americans added two more in the third as Zach Pochiro and Salituro beat Dylan Wells to make it 4-0.
Wichita went 0-for-7 on the power play. Allen was 0-for-3 on the man advantage.
Wichita remains at home next Friday at 7:05 p.m. as the Americans come back to INTRUST Bank Arena. Friday is QuikTrip Buy-In Night.
