SAN FRANCISCO - Kris Belan broke a 2-2 tie with 6:04 left in the third period and Taylor Nelson hung on for 32 saves to help the San Francisco Bulls defeat the Stockton Thunder (21-14-7, 49 points), 4-2 at the Cow Palace on Saturday.

Mike Little got the Thunder on the board with his fifth goal of the season for a 1-0 lead at 15:36 of the first period. On a delayed penalty, Little crashed the net and finished a centering pass to the upper corner over Taylor Nelson's glove.

San Francisco answered with a pair of goals in the second period to take a 2-1 lead. Peter Sivak buried a one timer at the right circle for a power play goal at the 2:11 mark and Jonathan Lessard followed up on a rebound at the right post, following a Jordan Morrison miss, at 5:16 for the one goal edge.

The Thunder fired back to tie the game at 2-2 on a bullet by Harrison Reed, who fired a one timer home from the left circle with 6:12 left in the third period. The goal was upheld after a review by the officials with the puck hitting the crossbar.

Belan snapped the tie just 1:08 later with a wrist shot from between the circles, tracking the loose puck down for his seventh goal of the season.

Jordan Morrison wrapped up the game with an empty net goal with 3.3 seconds left.

Thunder goaltender Cody Reichard took the loss with 27 saves.
