Bulls Take Weekend Rubber Match against Stockton, 5-2

STOCKTON, Calif. - The San Francisco Bulls (15-20-1-4) received goals from five players en route to a 5-2 win over the Stockton Thunder (21-15-4-3), Sunday at Stockton Arena. Taylor Nelson stopped 24 shots to help the Bulls take the rubber match of their three-game weekend series against their in-state rivals. Peter Sivak scored extending his goal-scoring streak to a season-high six games.

The Bulls went on top 1-0 on a first-period power-play goal at 6:34. Cody Carlson's shot from the point was tipped in front by Rylan Galiardi before landing over Cody Reichard and trickling over the goal line. Peter Sivak put the Bulls on top 2-0 by scoring on a breakaway with 3:18 remaining in the first period.

Stockton cut it to a 2-1 lead when Matt Bergland scored off of a scramble in front at 8:15 of the middle frame. The Bulls responded well, scoring two more in the period. Sebastian Trudeau scored his first ECHL goal at 7:52 on a wrap-around effort for a 3-1 Bulls lead. Hans Benson earned his second assist of the season on the play. With 5:48 remaining in the second period, Carlson's rebound goal gave the Bulls a 4-1 advantage. Christian Ouellet and Alex Tuckerman earned the assists.

In the third period, the Bulls went up 5-1 after Tuckerman fed Jordan Morrison for his 11th goal of the season at the 4:54 mark. Simon Danis-Pepin also earned an assist on the play. Cody Reichard was pulled following the goal for Jody O'Neill. Gabriel Levesque scored to make it 5-2 late in regulation on the power play for the final score of the game.

Bulletins: Peter Sivak's goal-scoring streak is tied for the longest in the ECHL this season...The Bulls are 5-2-0-0 against the Thunder this season...Alex Tuckerman was stopped by Jody O'Neill on a penalty shot in the third period...The Bulls out-shot Stockton 30-26...The Bulls went 1-for-4 on the power play. Stockton went 1-for-7 on the power play.
