CLEARWATER -- Tyrone Taylor completed the cycle in the fifth inning on Tuesday, as Brevard County put up 20 runs on 22 hits against the Clearwater Threshers.

The 3-through-5 hitters in the Manatees order finished a combined 11-for-12, led by Taylor's 5-for-5 night. It was the first cycle in the Florida State League since Dunedin's Gustavo Pierre completed the feat in a game against Brevard County on August 10, 2013.

Ethan Stewart (1-2) induced weak contact from the Manatees' bats in the first, but Brevard County managed three runs in the frame.

A pair of infield hits followed by a walk loaded the bases with one out, and a Cameron Garfield sacrifice fly pushed home the game's first run. Victor Roache followed with a bloop single to make it 2-0.

The Manatees would go on to score in each of the next five innings, taking a 16-0 lead. Kevin Walter kept Brevard County off the board in the seventh as he worked around a one-out walk.

Chad Carman pitched the ninth inning for Clearwater, making his first professional appearance on the mound. A catcher by trade, Carman induced a pair of fly ball outs from Jose Sermo and Orlando Arcia before Taylor singled to left.

Michael Reed then rolled a grounder to short, but reached on a fielding error by Angelo Mora. Cameron Garfield dropped a single into left to load the bases, but Carman got Roache to pop out to second baseman K.C. Serna to end the inning.

Hobbs Johnson (2-3) earned the win after tossing six shutout innings, permitting five hits and striking out six.

Harold Martinez turned in a 2-for-4 night, his second multi-hit performance in his past three games.

The Threshers and Manatees will wrap up the three-game set on Wednesday with a matinee game at 1 p.m. on Fun N Sun Day at Bright House Field. The game can also be heard live on threshersbaseball.com beginning at 12:45 p.m.
