The top 48 players identified today by "Hockey Alberta" have been invited to the Team Alberta Provincial Camp taking place July 12-17 in Calgary.
Mucha, a goaltender, played two games for the Winter Hawks last season as a 15-year-old. Knelson has been Sceviour's linemate on major bantam and major midget teams in Red Deer, Alberta, the last two seasons. All three of these players have a chance to be 16-year-old rookies with the 2005-06 Winter Hawks.
Team Pacific is comprised of the top 22 players, 11 from Alberta and 11 from British Columbia 2006, the unofficial World Championship for this age level. It is also the first stage for Hockey Canada to identify players for the National Under 18 Team and the World Junior Team.
Following the Provincial Camp, Hockey Alberta will again narrow the list to approximately 25 players that will continue to be evaluated with their club teams throughout the fall. The final 11 will be named by mid-November.
