Nashville SC News Release

NASHVILLE - In its second of three straight road matches, Nashville SC travels north to take on two-time league champion Louisville City FC this Saturday, July 6 at Louisville Slugger Field at 6 p.m. CT.

The team is coming off of a disappointing 1-0 loss at North Carolina FC last weekend. After falling behind early, Nashville was unable to equalize and left empty handed. Louisville saw more luck in its most recent match, snagging a point at Indy Eleven in their most recent match. The 1-1 decision knocked Indy Eleven down to second place, and boosted Louisville to seventh.

Here are three things to know about Saturday's match.

1) Watch Party at M.L. Rose Capitol View

Fans can meet to watch the match this Saturday at M.L. Rose's Capitol View location on 11th Avenue starting at 5:30 p.m. Nashville SC staff representatives will be in attendance with giveaways for fans to win including hats, scarves, and tickets to the team's next home match on July 27 at Nissan Stadium against Indy Eleven. For fans unable to attend the watch party, the game will be broadcast locally on MyTV30 and available for streaming on ESPN+.

2) Lancaster Back In Louisville

Nashville SC forward Cameron Lancaster faces his former team this Saturday. Lancaster played for Louisville City FC from 2015-2018 where he won back-to-back USL Championships in 2017 and 2018. Last season, he set a single-season scoring record with 26 goals. His 25 regular-season goals and one playoff goal earned him the league's Golden Boot in 2018. This will be Lancaster's first time playing against his previous club, as he joined Nashville SC as one of the club's MLS signings at the start of the 2019 season.

3) Ríos Rising to the Top

Daniel Ríos is tied for third in the USL Championship in goals, just two tallies away from catching current league leader Solomon Asante of Phoenix Rising FC. The striker is fifth in the league in shots taken with 43 total shots, making his conversion 23.3 percent currently. With 10 goals so far in 2019, Ríos is halfway to tying his 20-goal season last year at North Carolina.

Overall, Nashville SC has proved to be one of the best attacking teams in the Eastern Conference. The team is currently third in the Eastern Conference (seventh in the USL Championship) in goals scored with 30, and has taken 247 shots. Eleven different players have scored for Nashville SC so far in 2019.
