Three Inter Miami CF Players Make the 2020 MLS Best-Selling Jerseys List in Inaugural Season

After making history last weekend by becoming only the seventh franchise to qualify to the MLS Cup Playoffs in its inaugural season, Inter Miami CF recorded another impressive achievement today, as Major League Soccer (MLS) announced the Club was the most represented among the league's top 10 best-selling adidas jerseys this season.

Mexican international Rodolfo Pizarro ranked fifth, renowned striker Gonzalo Higuaín ranked sixth, and FIFA World Cup-winning French international Blaise Matuidi ranked ninth on overall online retail sales of the jerseys from the beginning of 2020 through the end of the league's 25th season on MLSstore.com.

Inter Miami was also tied for second as the team with the most players in the top 25 list, despite two of those players, Higuaín and Matuidi, joining MLS only two and three months ago, respectively.

Pizarro, Inter Miami's No. 10, joined the team as the Club's second Designated Player on Feb. 17, and after scoring the franchise's first-ever goal on March 8, the attacking midfielder ended second in the team in both goals (4) and assists (5).

Star Argentinian forward Higuaín, Inter Miami's No. 9, signed for the Club on Sept. 18 after leading Juventus FC to the 2019-20 Serie A title and has registered one goal and two assists, in addition to captaining the side seven times.

French international midfielder Matuidi, Inter Miami's No. 8, was acquired on Aug. 13, also from Italian powerhouse Juventus FC, and became the only active MLS player to have won the FIFA World Cup. The midfielder has been a workhorse for the team while registering a goal and an assist.
