Three Great Giveaways Headline Series at Smokies Park

KODAK, Tenn. - The Tennessee Smokies, the Double-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, return home from Huntsville this Wednesday night to kick off a five-game set with the Jacksonville Suns. The series, which is a rematch of the 2009 & 2010 Southern League Championship Series, will be highlighted by three straight days of giveaways, a ZOOperstars appearance and Fireworks Friday.
Wednesday's 7:15 game will kick-off the five-game set with the Smokies' Summer Reading Program celebration pregame. It's also Sevier County night, where residents and employees of Sevier County receive a $2 discount off a walk-up ticket purchase.
Kids take the stage Thursday night! All kids 12-and-under with paid admission to the 7:15 game will get a free hot dog, chips and small Pepsi product. The Smokies have also teamed up with Rotary International for "Pack the Park for Polio" night. It's also a Pilot Prize night, where everyone's a winner.
The Smokies will be hosting another post-game Friday Fireworks show following Friday's 7:15 game, courtesy of Pepsi, Coors Light, Knoxville News Sentinel, WVLT-TV 8 and WIVK-FM. The first 1,500 paid fans get a reusable grocery bag, courtesy of KRAFT Singles and Kroger.
Saturday's 6:15 game is jam-packed with fun-filled activities for all ages. The first 2,500 fans through the gates will receive a free Smokies cap, courtesy of Food City, Peter Pan Peanut Butter and WBIR. The ZOOperstars will also make their annual visit to Smokies Park. We'll honor boy and girl scouts with Scout Night, and show our support in the fight against ALS with ALS Night. It's also a Pilot Prize night, where everyone's a winner.
The series wraps up Sunday with 80's night. Prior to the 5:00 game, the first 1,000 fans 12-and-under will receive a drawstring backpack, courtesy of Pepsi. Don't miss the post-game concert featuring 80's tribute band Bueller.
Smokies tickets can be purchased at www.smokiesbaseball.com or at (865) 286-2300. Adult field level or bleacher seats are $10/$8. Child (12-and-under) and senior (55+) field level or bleacher seats are $9/$7. Fans buying tickets at least four hours before game time get $1 off each ticket.
